Beeston Blue Moon Beers goes to The Star

Folks,

We have had yet more recent rocketry-with-a-(ka)boom with the valiant near success of SpaceX ‘landing’ their latest Falcon 9 onto an ocean barge. RUDdy “Close but no cigar”… But close enough for the next “Go” to tantalize Thunderbird 1 fans! (Uneventfully, the Dragon capsule that the Falcon 9 launched has since delivered over two tons of experiments, equipment and supplies to the ISS.)

Meanwhile in a more down-to-earth mode, our next meet is merely at The Star Inn, Beeston:

For all things linux and everything else this Thursday at our (new) Beeston venue:

I’ll be there from 8:30pm with beers and linux. Just look for the linux mags and netbooks and whatever other geekery or so. We usually take over a table or two somewhere round the back. That will be either in front of the barrels or out in the marque area depending on numbers.

Who knows what may be on the menu of discussions ( ), and everything else!

“Blue Moon” in this context is used to mean “a rare event”. Usage here is also a corruption on the description for when there is an extra full moon during a season, in that the beers meet-up fills in for when we have a fifth Thursday in a calendar month
